Senior Quantity Surveyor / Project Quantity Surveyo\nCivil Engineering\nSouthwest\n£55,000 - £75,000 + (DOE)\n\nSenior Quantity Surveyor – Marine & Civil Engineering\n\nA leading marine and civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of marine, coastal, harbour, and infrastructure projects across the UK.\n\nThe Role\nThe Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of complex marine and civil engineering schemes, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nManaging the commercial performance of multiple marine and infrastructure projects\nPreparing cost plans, valuations, variations, and final accounts\nAdministering subcontractor packages and procurement processes\nProducing accurate financial reporting and forecasts\nManaging NEC and/or JCT contracts\nIdentifying commercial risks and opportunities\nSupporting and mentoring junior commercial staff\nWorking closely with operational teams to ensure commercial success\nMaintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners\n\nCandidate Requirements\n\nProven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within marine, civil engineering, infrastructure, or heavy construction sectors\nStrong understanding of NEC contracts\nExperience managing complex infrastructure or marine-based projects desirable\nExcellent negotiation and communication skills\nStrong financial and analytical capabilities\nAbility to work independently and lead commercial activities across projects\nDegree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline preferred\nProfessional membership (RICS/CICES or similar) advantageous\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nCompetitive salary and benefits package\nCompany car or car allowance\nPension scheme and holiday entitlement\nCareer progression opportunities within a growing business\nOpportunity to work on specialist marine and coastal engineering projects\nSupportive and collaborative team culture\nAbout the Company\n\nThe employer is a respected specialist contractor operating within the marine and civil engineering sector, delivering complex infrastructure solutions with a strong reputation for quality, safety, and technical expertise.\n\nInterested applicants should submit their CV along with a brief cover letter outlining their relevant experience and suitability for the role
