It offers long-term security, technical challenge, and strong visibility — ideal for someone ready to step up and take real responsibility on a major scheme.\n If you’re looking to lead your own section and make a meaningful contribution to a landmark project, this is an opportunity worth serious consideration.\n \nThe Business \n\nOur client is a leading civil engineering contractor with an established reputation across marine, water, environmental infrastructure, and energy sectors.\n They are recognised for delivering technically demanding projects to consistently high standards, maintaining strong client relationships, and securing repeat work across both public and private sectors.\n This is a performance-driven environment where expectations are high, with the support and structure in place to succeed.\n \nThe Role \n\nAs Section Engineer, you’ll take responsibility for the successful delivery of a defined section of works, acting as the key link between engineering teams, subcontractors, and senior management.\n You’ll lead the engineering function for your package, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme and quality expectations.\n\n Key responsibilities include: \nTaking ownership of a designated section of works \nManaging and supporting Site Engineers, including mentoring and development \nCoordinating subcontractors and overseeing daily site activities \nMaintaining high standards of quality assurance and control \nReviewing and interpreting engineering drawings \nPreparing and reviewing RAMS \nSupporting commercial discussions alongside Quantity Surveyors \nMonitoring programme progress and driving short-term planning \nContributing to technical problem-solving on complex RC and marine works \nUpholding strong health & safety standards across your section This is a hands-on leadership role with clear accountability and real influence on project delivery.\n \nAbout You \n\nWe’re looking for a capable and motivated Section Engineer with strong heavy civils experience.\n You’ll bring:\n \nEligibility to obtain SC Security Clearance - British passport required \nExperience as a Section Engineer or Senior Site Engineer on major civil engineering projects \nStrong background in reinforced concrete structures \nMarine or large-scale infrastructure experience (desirable) \nStrong understanding of engineering controls and quality-led delivery \nExcellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills \nHNC / HND / Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent \nYou’ll be proactive, organised, and confident taking ownership of performance across your section. \n What’s In It For You?
