Reed Education is dedicated to providing Whole School Recruitment to Secondary Schools across Wyre & Fylde, Cumbria & Lancashire. We are currently seeking a dynamic Science Teacher to join a school in South Cumbria starting January. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the curriculum, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver engaging and informative lessons that adhere to the curriculum standards.
• Utilise strong subject knowledge to enhance student learning and development at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 is advantageous.
• Maintain effective classroom management skills to foster a conducive learning environment.
• Demonstrate reliability and commitment to the educational development of students.
• Serve as a good role model for students, embodying qualities such as compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
• Collaborate with other teaching staff and contribute to the school community.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
• Recent relevant experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 experience is beneficial.
• Excellent classroom practitioner with robust subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, trustworthiness, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
