Location: Bournemouth\nPay: £35,000-£42,000 depending on experience\nBenefits: Company Car\n \nDWP Housing Partnership is a well-established private landlord based in Bournemouth, managing a portfolio of over 3,000 properties. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our Re-Let operations and play a key role in ensuring our properties are ready to a high standard for new tenants.\n \nThis is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll manage a large team, oversee property turnaround, and ensure compliance, quality, and efficiency across all re-let activities.\n \nThe Role\nAs our Re-Let Maintenance Manager, you’ll take ownership of preparing void properties for new tenants. You’ll lead a team of around 35 operatives, coordinate contractors, and work closely with internal teams and local councils to ensure properties are ready on time and to standard.\n \nYou’ll report directly to the Head of Maintenance and play a crucial role in maintaining quality, compliance, and operational performance.\n \nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nProperty Readiness & Compliance\n\nEnsure all certifications (EPC, Gas, NIC, Asbestos) are in place before handover\nLiaise with contractors to meet deadlines\nArrange asbestos surveys where required\n \nInspections & Tenant Interaction\n\nCarry out pre- and final inspections of properties\nManage tenant expectations, charges, and deposit deductions\nHandle disputes and agree practical resolutions\nCoordinate repairs and prioritise re-let schedules\nSupport tenants with post move-in issues\n \nTeam & Operational Management\n\nLead, support and develop a team of operatives\nConduct appraisals and manage performance\nOversee fleet vehicles, maintenance and tracking\nReview invoices, monitor costs and ensure efficiency\n \nHealth & Safety & Quality\n\nEnsure all works meet Health & Safety standards\nCarry out site visits to monitor progress and compliance\nAddress structural or regulatory concerns\n \nCoordination & Communication\n\nKeep accurate property records\nWork closely with the Lettings Manager on property readiness and timelines\n \nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nProven experience in property maintenance or property management\nStrong leadership experience managing teams in an operational environment\nGood understanding of Health & Safety and maintenance best practice\nExcellent organisation and problem-solving skills\nConfident communicator, able to handle challenging conversations\nFull UK driving licence\n \nAbout You\nYou’re someone who:\n\nTakes ownership and gets things done\nCan balance hands-on involvement with team leadership and works well under pressure\nStays calm under pressure and manages multiple priorities\nBuilds strong working relationships across teams and with tenants\nHas high standards and takes pride in delivering quality work\n \nWhy Join Us?\n\nBe part of a growing and established property business\nLead a large, impactful team\nCompany vehicle and fuel cart provided\nVaried role with a mix of office, site, and people management work\n \nAdditional Information\nThis role includes a mix of site visits and management responsibilities.
