Freight Forwarding Trainee

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing logistics business seeking a Trainee Operations Coordinator to join their expanding team.

The company is open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds - previous exposure to shipping, transport, warehousing, or supply chain would be beneficial, but full training will be provided for the right individual with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

• Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 DOE

You will be introduced to all aspects of transport and freight operations, gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of logistics activities. Responsibilities will include:

• Managing full load, part load, and groupage shipments
• Liaising with hauliers, customers, and internal departments
• Assisting with day-to-day transport operations
• Supporting shipment coordination and tracking activities
• Building strong customer and supplier relationships
• Learning operational processes within a fast-paced logistics environment

• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Motivated and eager to learn
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• Confident using computers and handling administrative tasks
• Previous experience within shipping, transport, warehousing, or logistics is advantageous but not essential
