Our client, a leading multi‑modal freight forwarder and parcel distribution specialist, recognised as one of the UK’s fastest‑growing logistics and freight forwarding companies are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team based local to Wetherby, West Yorkshire.\nMain Purpose of the Role:\nAs a key player within the sales team, you will use your expertise in B2B & B2C field sales to develop pipelines, engage with prospects, negotiate contracts, and help businesses streamline their domestic shipping needs.\nOn Offer:\n * The opportunity to join a fast-growing logistics provider offering end‑to‑end parcel and e-commerce logistics solutions\n * A role with minimal micro-management and an extensive warm pipeline of business\n * Attractive salary up to £43K DOE, along with a £7K car allowance.\n * Uncapped commission structure.\n * 25 days holiday + bank holidays, birthday & time served holiday scheme\n * Simply Health Medical Cover & Life Assurance\nDuties and Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:\n * Achieve at a minimum new business target as outlined by management per financial year.\n * Generate new leads and opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, and online research.\n * Develop and implement effective prospecting strategies to expand the customer base.\n * Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.\n * Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products/services.\n * Negotiate terms and conditions to achieve mutually beneficial agreements and close deals and secure contracts.\n * Work towards to achieving individual sales targets and contribute to business goals.\n * Collaboration with internal teams.\n * Work closely with internal departments to align business development efforts with overall Company goals.\n * Provide feedback from customers to contribute to product/service enhancements.\n * Implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business growth.\n * Continually assess and adjust strategies based on market feedback and performance metrics.\n * Track and analyse sales performance and business development opportunities.\n * Prepare regular reports for management to evaluate effectiveness.\n * Conduct through market research to identify potential business opportunities and trends.\n * Analyse industry data and competitor activities to stay informed about market changes.\nTo Be Considered for the Business Development Manager:\n * Proven experience in business development / sales, or related field within parcel and/or e-commerce logistics\n * Strong understanding of market dynamics and industry trends.\n * Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets & strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.\n * Familiarity with CRM software and other business development tools.\n * Computer literate with knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.\n * Willingness to drive nationwide\n * Full UK driving licence and access to vehicle.\nFor more details, please contact Willis Global – a leading Recruitment Consultancy for the Supply Chain & Logistics industry
