A welcoming and inclusive SEN Secondary school in Southwark is seeking to appoint two dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join their specialist ASD provision from September 2026.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for experienced LSAs who are passionate about supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other neurodiversities within specialist classroom settings.\n\nThe Role\n\nThe successful candidates will work closely with class teachers and the SEN team to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop communication and social skills, and achieve their individual targets in a nurturing environment.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\nSupporting pupils within specialist SEN classes\nWorking 1:1 and in small groups\nAssisting with communication, sensory, and emotional regulation strategies\nEncouraging pupil independence and engagement\nSupporting behaviour management in line with school policies\nCollaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents where appropriateRequirements\n\nApplicants must:\n\nHave at least 1 year of experience working in a UK classroom\nHave previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD\nBe patient, proactive, and adaptable\nHave strong communication and teamwork skills\nBe committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenDesirable\n\nExperience working within a specialist provision or resource base\nKnowledge of PECS, Makaton, or sensory strategies\nRelevant TA/LSA or SEN qualificationsThe School Offers\n\nA supportive and experienced SEN team\nA positive and inclusive working environment\nOpportunities to develop specialist SEN experiencePlease contact Carly Walters at Remedy on, (phone number removed)
